Welcome to the 2024/2025 School Year
Another school year is here! We have so missed seeing all of the students, teachers, and staff at Orchard Hills and we are so excited to begin another year with everyone returning (or beginning as new students!) to the school in a few short days.
A NEWsletter for the New School Year
As the PTA, our hope this year is to inform and involve as many people as possible. We want everyone to be aware of PTA happenings and to feel welcomed to participate and volunteer whenever able. Therefore, we've decided to post a monthly newsletter that will contain all the information on important upcoming dates and events.
Back-to-School
In August, we of course begin with Back-to-School night (or afternoon as is the case at our school). The school is hosting an open house style Back-to-School night on Tuesday, August 13. As part of this event, the PTA will have a booth as you enter the school with information about memberships, volunteer signups, and school shirt purchases. Additionally, the PTA will hold our General Meeting at 3:30 immediately following the teacher meet and greet.
Those that signup for a membership will receive a voucher for a FREE appetizer from Texas Roadhouse. Couples that sign up together as members will receive a voucher for a FREE kid's meal from Texas Roadhouse. This is while supplies last, so sign up now!
Get excited! Our Silent Auction and Carnival are coming up! The Silent Auction will begin August 31 and run through September 6. And, boy, do we have some fun things that will be available to bid for (signed footballs, a fire pit, tons of board games, a family photo session with a professional local photographer, and SOOO much more!).
The Carnival will be on the evening of Friday, September 6, from 5:30 to 8:00. Dinner will be provided for those that pre-purchase a meal ticket. And, of course, we'll have our cotton candy available for purchase that night as well. Come ready to have fun digging for dinosaurs, jumping in bounce houses, getting your face painted, running a three-legged race, drawing with chalk, playing 9 Square, doing a dunk tank, and MORE.
